John Hunter and the Mayan Gods

Join John Hunter as he ventures deep into the Mayan jungle in Pragmatic Play’s ‘John Hunter and the Mayan Gods’ slot. Players in Mauritius seeking a blend of immersive graphics and exciting features will be drawn to this high-volatility release from 2020.

Gameplay and Features

The slot is played on a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 10 fixed paylines, suitable for a variety of betting preferences. Bet amounts range from $0.10 up to $100 per spin, making it accessible whether you’re cautious or bold. The game offers an RTP of 96.46%, which matches up with what Mauritian players expect from quality online slots.

Symbols on the reels include playing card icons as lower-value symbols and themed images such as a golden goblet, dagger, ring, carved dragon head, a Mayan priest, and of course, John Hunter. John Hunter is the top-paying symbol, delivering the biggest rewards when landing across paylines. One key feature to look out for is the golden idol wild, showing up on reels 2, 3, and 4. This wild substitutes for all regular symbols except the scatter, and when it forms part of a win, it expands to cover the entire reel for boosted winning potential.

A progressive free spins feature adds more excitement. This is triggered when you land three or more temple scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, awarding 12 free spins. As you play through the free spins, each new wild increases the level of the feature, provides extra spins, and upgrades symbols to higher paying ones, creating more opportunities for substantial wins.
