Rise of the Mountain King

Rise of the Mountain King by NextGen Gaming is an engaging video slot launched in 2020 that brings the power of Norse legends alive for Mauritian players. Step into a mystical world ruled by the mighty Mountain King and his magical domain, offering thrilling spins and big win potential.

Gameplay and Features

This slot features a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 30 fixed paylines. Betting options range from $0.30 to $15 per spin, offering flexibility for both casual and high-stakes players. With an RTP of 96.31% and high volatility, Rise of the Mountain King promises rewarding but rare wins, catering to players who enjoy the excitement of chasing big payouts.

Among the elaborately designed symbols, you'll find card royals (9 to Ace), as well as thematic icons like axes, shields, trolls, and a princess. The Mountain King himself acts as the wild, helping to complete winning combinations by substituting regular symbols. The red gem scatter symbol unlocks the free spins feature.

Bonus features include the King's Respin Feature, where landing three or more wilds triggers sticky wild respins for extra chances to win. The Rise of the Multiplier Free Spins come alive when three or more scatters appear, awarding 8–10 free spins. Collecting additional scatters during this round increases the win multiplier in several levels, reaching up to 100x, and gives you extra spins every time a new scatter lands, with no upper limit. Only wins that involve a wild benefit from the multiplier. Some versions provide a Buy Pass feature, letting you purchase direct entry into the free spins for 100x your stake or a 50/50 chance for half the price, increasing the RTP up to 96.848%.

Theme and Design

The stunning graphics are perfectly paired with an epic orchestral soundtrack inspired by Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King,” amplifying the sense of adventure and drama with every spin.
